because I spent years doing all the wrong things and feeling defeated from starting over... again and again. I tried several fad diets (whole 30, low carb, etc) and a shit ton of cardio but never got the results I wanted because I kept giving up.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to look a certain way. I dreamt of strong, sexy shoulders and how proud I would be of them when I had them (I am, by the way.)

If I would have focused on how I FELT earlier on (which was honestly like crap due to eating like a rabbit, doing exercises I hated, and constantly judging myself in the mirror), I could have gotten to how I wanted to look MUCH faster because the better you feel, the more consistent you will be, and the more consistent you are, the more likely you are to have the happy by-product of looking how you want to look.
